There are enough golf courses in New Orleans without having to go all the way to Mexico. Besides, Mexicans are not really into golf that much. There are some nice courses in Mexico but not a lot of them. You’ll find more in and around New Orleans

New Orleans, the city proper(Orleans Parish), is about 105 miles upriver from the Gulf of Mexico.
Thumbs down? Ok, take it from someone who doesn’t live in New Orleans then.
