Typhoon Kompasu trying to enter my Mokpo apartment – 09/01/10
Taken the evening of September 1, 2010 in Mokpo, South Korea. Typhoon Kompasu isn’t hitting us directly at the moment, just slouching by up the West Sea (Yellow Sea) area, between Korea and China. I’m not sure when/where exactly it’ll make landfall, though many reports say it’ll do so in North Korea, at a point a bit north of Incheon here in the ROK. I’d been out to dinner at VIPS steakhouse with a Korean friend (who happens to be an assistant manager at VIPS) this evening, and the wind and rain had been crazy then. Got home during a relatively calm spell (as far as the rain is concerned…the winds have been steady), and shortly after, the rain picked up again. As far as I know, the interior of SK isn’t being affected at the moment. Lucky them!
